I am flattered to be the source of such mirth.:o
Some great suggestions in there for website names.
needabenz is MBUSA's used car site, so that's gone too.
needtoreadthefeckinmanual was another one I thought of more than once, particularly when it comes to feeding my website.
My only message is, if you want honest MB related dealings, I'd like to help. I've been burned by the main dealers and independent "specialists" myself over the years, so I know there is room there for one small good guy.
So far I am not equipped to deal with MB electronic/computer related gremlins, but I hope to have that covered soon.
    I'm in West Dublin/North Kildare.
    Thanks for the laugh.
    Regards.
    Eddie.

    +1

Not exactly sure who you think was being slagged or begrudged, OP.

    I saw this happen.
About 1995 on the canal near Shelbourne Road, lunchtime, some old lad sitting in a country reg'd E class - with a copy of Hustler on the wheel and his strides around his knees. (OK, I'm makng that bit up).

NO. I did not hang around to watch, I did have a good giggle to myself and enjoyed relaying it back to the workies.

    I'm still laughing:)
Love some of those comments above.
Here's a nice picture of a 300GD detailed engine bay:

Nice site. I don't needamerc right now, but if you happen to come across a tidy, small-engined W124 saloon with all the trimmings (aircon, electric seats, etc.), do drop me a PM...

Took a look at the site.its impressive
The theslshop.com always seem to have a good turnover of nice Mercs, so if it works in the Uk....it should work here.
Out of curiosity it would be nice to have the prices listed.I can't afford a wheelbarrow at present but it would be nice to know how much i need to save up :)

Thanks for all the interest. My inbox is over-flowing. PM's sent to Wolseley and Junkyard.
I will have some more time over the next few weeks to fine-tune the website. Currently I have no euro button on my laptop but I will figure out a fix.
You will be pleasantly surprised by some prices and shocked by others. Some cars are priced for other markets. For example my 6.3 is much better than the one in the MB Museum in Stuttgart and is priced accordingly.
    Eddie.

    Ohh would I love a G-WAGEN:cool::cool:

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,202 ✭✭✭Bitten & Hisses

Hi Eddie, congrats and best of luck in your new venture. I'm not buying at present, but can you give an indication of price on this: New RHD G300CDi, LWB commercial, leather and auto? It would be an intriguing alternative to a conventional 4x4. Are these comfortable enough for use as a daily driver doing 20,000 to 25,000 miles a year? PM if you don't want to post it publicly. Thanks in advance.

Very comfortable, very strong and very expensive. I've driven two.
The best engine and gearbox (5 speeed Tiptronic) combination yet in a G-Wagen. Magnificent. There is nothing else in it's league (except maybe the Amazon but that's on air? = hassle eventually). Very few bells or whistles available at the moment.
More info when I have it. See PM.

    I'd love that G55 :D

So far as I know, there are only two of these in Ireland. Mine is LHD, the other is RHD.
They are very special. Combination sports car, limo and truck.
    The fastest truck.
Of course it makes no sense. But...
