I bought a new iPhone and am getting a ''Please insert a valid Sim card with no PIN lock to activate iPhone''. How do I activate the phone before jailbreaking it and unlocking it for my Vodafone sim?

throw in your 02 sim card,ye then have to connect the phone to a computer with an up to date itunes, thats about it really, i.e that activates it?

from there follow the iClarified tutorials.

Any o2 sim will work, including pay-as-you-go ones.
