Hi, I recently got an iPhone 3G unlocked for my gf on Vodafone PAYG. She can make calls, send and receive texts but can't receive calls. We changed sim to another phone and it's fine then. Any ideas?
    Unlock with Cydia/Ultrasn0w.

The only time I've heard if issues like this is when using piggyback sims for unlocking, but you say that you have used Ultrasn0w. Sounds like the Jailbreak / Unlock didn't go through cleanly. If you have an O2 sim (assuming it was originally locked to O2), consider doing a full restore, activate using the O2 sim and then Jailbreak / Unlock.

Btw, have you tried using a different sim (O2 / 3 / meteor) sim in the phone to see if incoming calls go through then?

That may be the problem... i activated it with the Vodafone sim. I'll restore and try again with an O2 one. Thanks :)

To solve the issue. need to reset the network on the phone.
    1. go to main
    2. go to settings
    3. go to general
    4. scroll down all the way to the bottom wher it says reset
    5. click reset
    6. click Reset network settings
    7. confirm that you want to reset it.

then it will re-boot then magic it shoul work now.

The same is happening to me, I can make calls and texts, but can't receive them. I checked my sim in another phone and it works fine.

I have an iPhone 2G 3.0.1 jailbroken and unlocked for vodafone. The thing is it was working a few days ago, but not anymore :( I tried the above steps but no cigar :(

Any ideas? Don't want to have to restore and jailbreak it again if it can be helped :(

Edit: Fixed it, having push notifications for mafia wars turned on was causing the problem it seems.
