Candyshell case - cracks/lines

Hi - i ordered a speck candyshell and i noticed there was kind of 'dimples' or lines in the back of it (before i took it out of pack) they looked like cracks but on closer inspection they are not full cracks. anyway, i sent it back and got a replacement, but its arrived today and the same thing on it.

anyone find similar problems with theirs? mine is black/yellow

I can't honestly say that I've ever seen that on the candyshell case.

I'll check my candyshell case when I get a chance cause I'm really interested in this. Speck's product line is usually very good but hearing this is very unusual.

Does the candyshell add a lot of bulk to the phone?

Hi swingking I was hoping you'd reply as I know u see a lot of cases etc from seeing your great YouTube page with reviews and all. Yeah I actually have a gray watermelon colored candyshell and it's grand. No marks or anything so I thought this must be a fault. But then when the second one came looking the same way I was wondering if it's just a quirk. Plus the packaging doesn't look dented or anything.

In relation to bulk, no I find the candyshell really excellent. Not too bulky and it's a nice feel in your hand when you use it. I'm posting from my iPhone at the moment :-)

I don't mean to sound stupid, but is there a chance that they sent you back the same on the second time around? If that packaging doesn't look damaged, it's highly unlikely that they would send you out two defective cases!

Just checked mine and yes, there's a line on the back of it running through the K in Speck.

Yeah! Me and OH were just talking about this exact thing!! You see the first one i actually opened, kind of in a messy way (the sticky bits at top) and this new package is really neat/clean/tidy/sticky looking the way it is sealed, it looks like it was never opened. so i think its a completely different one....its hard to know though....you could be right and they just chucked back the original one. I'm the same, surprised to see the same incident in 2 of these.

Fionagus, is there just one line on yours? i think my grey/watermelon one has a tiny line, but this black looks more like 2 lines in a v shape. TBH i don't mind keeping it if other people have seen this happen, but the case actually hangs together ok. i really love them and i find the one i am using excellent to protect the phone

I checked my candyshell case and there is no lines on the case so it's definitely a fault

Yeh i think its a fault. And you know, on looking at the photo again, I am starting to agree with Oregato.... and i think its the same one they sent back to us!! :mad:

i think i'll post it back with the Amazon form filled in (again!) but also with a big note saying please check there is no cracks on the new one. The lines are very obvious even before you take it out of the packings. we just took it out to get a clearer photo.

Just checked my white one and nothing like that on it. A definite fault.

Sorry to hear you're still having trouble with it, maybe your best bet is to send it back and maybe buy it elsewhere? That's not on if the seller is sending you out the same item twice!

Got mine on ebay from a Dublin seller. Digital lifestyle was the shop name i think.
