So - I got a new Gibson Explorer yesterday.
Problem is all my leads are shot.

Been years since I shopped in town, and searching I see Mucisian Inc is closed down.

Apart from Waltons, is there anywhere close to Baggot St that I could run into at lunchtime?! ;):D

Well if you were lookin at musician inc there is always musicmaker and perfect pitch around the corner from where musician inc used to be (btw these are now called Xmusic... check out xmusic.ie)

Musicmaker is still around? I'll drop in there.

Vague recollections of Perfect Pitch - might check it out too.

    Cheers

Had a look at the xmusic site alright, but this is a instant requirement :D

    Cheers mate!

Ended up getting a couple of nice Elixer cables in Music Room (McCollough Piggots?) on South William St.

Pricey, but with a couple a packs of free strings made it manageable ;)

    Ta again!

The Musician Inc shop on Drury St was going to be kept open as an Xmusic drop-in shop where you could buy yor bits and pieces and order Xmusic stuff from their Ballymount shop and pick it up the next day. Their website says they closed the Drury St shop cause the other one's doing so much business.

Makes sense. Rent must have been unreal in that location. Shame though - I liked the idea of a city centre pick up point.

Yeah - the more shops like it in the city centre the better. Shame it's gone :(

I know I spent months of my younger years going into town and going from shop to shop just hangin' around.

It'll be all 'coffee shops' and stuff for the young 'uns nowadays :P

I got the same deal last year on the elixirs. Pricey, but its peace of mind that they wont break when you need them and wont be noisy. Good investment.
