Motleyfool.com is an investments / financial advisory service for paid up members.

I've been getting email flyers from these guy's for years & i've always resisted signing up for their subscription but it seems to be a lot of good news with hi rates of return on their picks.

Has anyone on here signed up for their "Stock advisor " service if so what was your feeling about it?

    I've never paid for anything.

If they were getting a decent rate of return as advisors, would they not be more interested in setting up their own hedge fund? Maybe they make so much from the subsricption service they don't need to. :D

There is no substitute for doing your own research, then maybe scouring the internet to see does your analysis fit, or have you missed anything. IMHO

It seems to me like they're working both angles:cool: , they do have portfolios set up that you can buy into , they are tergetting getting a million from 10k in ten years or something like that.

Then on the other side they are using their hi performing pick sa s reinforcing marketing for their advisory service.

I think the answer your looking for is in the question? – Fool, Motley... They have the arrogance to call their own 'followers' fools!

While it might have some salient info, the two founder dudes, cute hooors is my instinct!

Seems like a snake oiled rocking horse s**t, wrapped in horse feathers and sprinkled with goats toenail clippings sorta website! :D

I think while their stuff is couched in a more palatable format than the dry boring financials, I reiterate what Ixus said, I've never paid for anything either, I form my own opinion, not purchase someone else's, I do the research and legwork myself.

    Hey Gonzales,

They have a free 30 day trial.. you have to supply your credit card details at the time of signing up but if you cancel before the 30 days are up, you are not charged anything.

They do carry a load of information without being signed up! In their articles section they give tips and then you can go research the companies individually and see does it stack up.

I'm personally learning how to read financial reports myself before investing in a company..

Also, you know when you enter in a company's symbol on home page and you get the commentary at the bottom from all the people who give it a thumbs up and thumbs down, I don't think they have all actually invested money, or shorted- it's just an opinion a lot of the time.

Ignore all stock advisors. Most of them get paid to promote stock. Do your own research.

Ignore everyone and never be impulsive and brush twice a day and use a mouthwash if you don't floss, most people don't know that.
