Weeds - Coming from neighbours gardens?

    Second thread here tonight. :o

Neither of my neighbours are interested in gardening, either side of mine looks like 4' deep meadow. These are small suburban gardens, each to his own and all that - but - I cannot keep my lawn weed free. Even semi-weed free would be nice.

I have dug borders around my entire garden, used the usual toxic stuff on the lawn, then re-seeded it etc. But this year I give up. I'm keeping it short, but I know it's nearly entirely weeds.

So my question is, is it my neighbours weeds "blowing" onto my lawn, or am I just crap at lawn keeping?

You know, weeds are called weeds because they are persistant little blighters with a range of highly successful reproduction strategies. They reproduce by wind, by birds &their droppings, by attaching themselves to people/animals, by spreading around underground and any number of inventive ways. They are the born survivors of the plant world.

Every garden will always have weeds, even if they are surrounded by miles of other manicured gardens.
