I started a thread in AH about this and in two pages it has received nothing but negative comments. Mostly due to high prices on sandwiches.

I was a regular to the place until I discovered Insomnia and enjoyed their generous promos with sandwiches / coffees.

Is there any coffee drinkers who would have been a regular t this place? Anything good about them?

I was a regular for a while. Then I discovered the coffee in Mc Donalds.
Much better and only about €2 for a large one.

Always found the coffee in O'Briens to be some of the poorest about in my opinion, even compared with the other big chain-type cafes which are generally not spectacular!

But still, obviously it's awful to see any business in financial trouble, given theimplications / repercussions.

To be honest, I'm surprised they kept going so long. Seriously over priced for average sambos. Tasteless cheese, unimaginative fillings and terrible coffee. I don't eat in O'Briens unless there are no other options within 5 miles.
