    Hi All,

Can anyone recommend a good quality VPN router with wireless that works!

I been using Netgears FVG318 and they are just completely unreliable, after every reboot they completely lose their configuration. After trying different versions and software I'm gving up on them. They are being used for port forwarding for a cctv system and VPN.

    Cheers,

    John.

An excellent WiFi router with a very wide antenna range is the Buffallo WHR-HP_G54 http://www.buffalo-technology.com/pr...r-with-dd-wrt/

I've linked to one with an alternate linux based firmware called dd-wrt pre-installed- this gives a lot more features including VPN support:

I used use this router myself, but its now churning away in my folks' house (4 stories so needs the better antenna range) - extremely solid performer.

The router doesn't have as many wired ports as yours however - would this be a prob?

Zyxel 662 HW or similar for DSL connected lans with built in wireless + Vpn etc, cheap and reliable,or the Zyair G-1000 for a wireless only unit.
Alternatively the linksys routers with the upgraded firmware to allow you bo boost the signal strentgh will do the job as well.
