Backed Retief Goosen @ 25/1 and David Drysdale each way @ 100/1 this week and will back Ben Curtis each way next week.

Goosen was in my thinking for this week I have to say. Definition of solid.

Jim Furyk is 40/1 with Ladbrokes paying 5 places or 33/1 with PP and BS paying 7 places. He has a very good history in the Open and is currently in great form. He is also very accurate off the tee which is a must given the dense rough. Well worth a small wager IMO.

I fancy Rory McIlroy at 20/1 to be there or there abouts. Il have a small punt on Tim Clark at 80/1 whos accuracy could be useful and a hail mary on Gonzalo Fernandez Castano at 150/1 who has potential to sneak a place.

I'm going for Hunter Mahan, only 33/1 but he's been playing very well the past few weeks.

Also gonna go with whoever Bob Bubka tips after his heroic Lucas Glover tip!

Hunter lost out narrowly to Tiger last week alright but he's playing his golf in those lovely parkland courses! We all know what can happen some of those boys when they come over to the Open.

Yes, Bob the legend indeed. I'll be interested in his tip. Btw, Glover was leader in the putting stats before he won the US Open for the year. Well worth your time to check those out.

I think I'll definitely have a 5iver e/w on Furyk at those odds and my usual 2e/w on Robert Allenby. Want to go each way on Anthony Kim too but I just don't know if he has it up top for a major.

Greame McDowell @ 50/1 is well worth a go I think. Well used to Links golf.

Hmmm Furyk at those odds looks a good bet I must say. Might have a small nibble.
