Madcode Hook Adware..Credit Card Threat

    Hi everyone, I am just wondering if someone out there could give me some advice as I am clueless....

    Sophos has noticed a PUA hacking tool on my laptop called MadCodeHook, which I am in the process of removing.

    My worry is that over the last two weeks I have been booking hotels and flights for a holiday with my girlfriend on the internet off my laptop, so would have been using credit card details doing this.

    Would this type of adware be able to view these details? Apart from my own worries I want to tell her asap if her details have been compromised.

    If anyone could give me a brief description in laymans terms of the threat if any of this programme, couldn't really understand the descriptions on the Sophos website.

    Any advice would be much appreciated:confused:
