HotWater Tank

I'm not entirely sure what it's called but anyway. I have put a GeoThermal heating system into my house, I am now coming to the point where the HeatPump and Buffer tank will be installed

So what I was wondering the Hotwater Tank (buffer tank) is there any ones on the market that would allow me to run my GeoThermal through it and the assist in the heating using Back Boilers or Solar.

I know bugger all about plumbing and the technical details, the company insists I will have enough hot water no matter what, but I want to be covered for when we lose power or simply want to turn down/off the geothermal system during the summer months.

So is there any Tank that I could select or am I bound to the tank provided by the supplier of the GeoThermal System.

You say you went with GeoThermal - did you also go with underfloor heating? This will dictate how your system is configured.

I went with underfloor as well (but have not installed it yet so I can go back).

    Any help would be great.

Usually if you go GeoThermal you'd go with UFH because both technologies operate at lower temperatures. For example for rads to work they need to hit 70+ degrees, whereas with UFH you're operating down towards the 30 range. I'm no plumber, but I've not heard much of GeoThermal being linked in with other systems to provide hot water.

Rads = Oil + Solar combo + other high temp options like Solar
UFH = GeoThermal / Air to Heat Pump etc
