Aer Lingus seat maps versus Seatguru

Travelling to Chicago in October and was tryng to suss out where are the decent seats on the flight (girlfriend is a nervous flyer so likes to be close to bathrooms but no too close to be sitting right beside them).

Seatguru lists 2 seating charts for Aer lingus A330-200 and A330-300.
From searching on boards it seems that EI-DUZ does most of the DUB-ORD runs but the aer lingus seating chart bears no resemblance to the seatguru map.
Do Aer lingus not include spaces between rows for bathrooms/galleys etc on their seat maps ?

Anyone able to recommend a decent seat (all the emergency ones with extra legroom gone...I'm 6'4 and a bit so like to stretch out when possible).

Old job used to involve a lot of flying but don't do much flying anymore so gone from Gold circle Prestige (thanks to using one world partner and EI flights) with the 2 free upgrades back to gold circle applicant (even though I still fly european with them my points never seem to get recorded) ....I really miss the days of a free upgrade :(

Most of the Aer Lingus fleet have had the old seats removed and replaced with new slimline seats as part of the aircraft re-fit/new deliveries. As such the seat maps online may be out of date, as the new seats (being slimmer) have allowed Aer Lingus to put more seats in economy. The Aer Lingus seat map would be then one I'd work with :)

you can't choose an exit row seat from the aerlingus seatmap when you're booking online. If you're Gold Circle still, check in at the desk in Dublin (not using one of the self-checkin machines) and ask for an exit row seat. You might be lucky...
I've flown to ORD a couple of times a year for the last several years and any time I've been in an exit row, the person beside me had a GC card too. Either that or the exit rows had people travelling with kids in them.

One possible reason why EI arent recording your GC points for European trips anymore is that you don't get points if your fare class is Z, W, or A (I think these are the classes. Stingy of them TBH...
