Thailand and VISA's?

    Hi all,

What is the situation with VISA's upon entering Thailand? I was there two years ago for 30 days and didnt require anything more than a green slip that I held on to for the month and presented upon leaving the country.

I however had a discussion with someone today who was adament that you need to pay for a "double entry VISA" for any amount of time spent there. My stay is under 30 days this time, which I believed to be the cut-off for having to get a VISA.

Can someone set me straight on this?

    Cheers,

    C.

I was in Thailand this year and spent less than 30 days, 7 night in fact and was provided with a VISA Stamp on my passport on arrival.

I did not have to do anything in advance of arriving in the country.
