If it is a standard Fiesta.. Dont bother with insurance.. You will get killed in the first ten minutes..
    NEVER just change an engine
It is simple to make a car go faster.
    What about stopping it??
    cornering??
Plenty more to do.. Not just "Put 2.0i " in there.:o

Mind if I steal that somewhere?

Anyway, best way to make your car go faster is improve your contact with the road. More grip = better high speed corner... a greater margin of safty when taking corners at a safe and legal velocity and more power down onto the road sooner increased vehicle responsiveness and safety when inititiating safe, legal overtaking maneuvers.

And you don't have to tell your insurance company what tyres you use.

yes i do know that you have to upgrade the brakes and suspension, for one thing the 2 liter would way more than the 1.1l suspension could handle... Anyways back to my question how do you go about getting the car re-registered with a diff engine.?

Would you find it hard to get insurance on a 2litre normally?

    Insurance maybe????:D:D

Talk to the motor tax office and phone a few insurance companies as you would normally.......but cant see why on earth you'd want a 2ltr fiesta......but everyone to their own

If you modify a vehicle, every insurer would want to see a detailed report from a suitably qualified motor engineer before they would consider it.

Yeah, I think a modified car sets off klaxon's at any insurance agency, would it not be more effective just to buy some form of a 2.0l car instead ?

Drop into a mechanic and see what they'll do.
Why on earth ya dropping a 2L into a fiesta?
Horrible cars and should remain slow!
The overall cost of this including your tax, vrt, insurance (if you get it), the actual modifying of your car: suspension, wheels, brakes, chassis enforcement, nct (if they'll let you) would far outweigh buying a properly powered car that would be cheaper to tax insure etc.

As others have said do your homework on it. See how much it'll cost. A good mechanic will be able to direct you better but check out Mr. Insurance first
