    Am I wrong
Some people see it as good training, I seem to suffer more than most (giant head) so I have developed a healthy hatred for a head wind.

It should help you become better though, I find that adjusting my position a lot cycling into a headwind I can see almost instantaneous improvements in performance as a function of speed and effort. In this way, it really helps you see where you are losing power in your setup (elbows not tucked in, sitting up too high, etc.)

Is there a windy seaon here. I am under the impression that it is windy much of the time.

not that handy when your 6,1" and 14 stone on a hybrid,
i would rather weight train on a windy wet eve or play a game of squash.failing that have a few buds.

i did 11 miles this eve in 45 mins all the up hill bits i had the strong wind in my face .

i kinda enjoyed the grunt of it .

IMO, overall wind is bad. I'd prefer no wind as I find bad wind more soul destroying than I find good wind joyous.

Bit of a moot point, living here though.

I did 100k the other night, the first 60 had three heavy climbs and a hard hard head wind, the last 40 was flat(ish) and ether no wind or slight tail wind... It was a hard cycle, I did it in 4 hours (all things considered I was happy) and I wouldnt change a second of it.
It was a battle of a cycle I had a great sense of achievement. I know that I am a better cyclist for it.
I went out to train, train I did.
I love cycling and all about it, just like I prefer cycling in west cork with hills than I did cycling in the midlands which is flat, I would hate to cycle in a dead climate.:)

I personally hate the wind, whether its playing football or cycling. I'd rather it was wet.

Nothing worse than the wind in your face, whilst cycling up or down a hill.

Noting more better than climbing up Errigal mountain into a head wind lol, knowing that this is proper training.
Muscles need to be pushed and as season goes on you feel the strength build in your legs.
