North Bull Island OW Swims

Hey all. I recently discovered while out on a cycle that the north bull island seems a decent swimming spot out by the pier. I couldn't find anything in relation to tides so decided I'd check it this morning and see how it was. Unfortunately it was waaaay out and too far out to make for a viable swim. Does anyone swim there regularly and if so how do you check the tide there? Is there a site I'm yet to find which has the details and how do i read it?

Thanks, I'm dying to find a good north side spot for some pre-work swims and the closer to the city the better.
