i have to get a landlord to accept rent receipts for the back to education allowance and that can be a serious hassle so im going to have to look at a few places more than likely before i get a landlord whos above board and has a decent house. I prefer to rent a room in a house than get a group together and then get a house as i just want to have to pay my share of the bills and and if one person in the house decides not to pay their rent its not my problem. If you just head up to maynooth yourself and have a look around now and get a room yourself you could have a say who moves into any other spare roooms. most houses are non smoking, no craic, polite awarkness... the bad points of moving to a new place. no house is complete without a major session where someone makes a bollox of themselves and breaks the ice!

I imagine a large proportion of Maynooth is students, so everywhere in the town will have at least some student properties.
