Miraculously at the age of 21 I have all of a sudden stopped biting my nails!! Dont ask me how or why I just have!

Anyway they are growinG but every time they get in any way long they chip and peel from the sides. Its almost as though they arent strong enough to grow any longer they bend and chip at the edge and then I have to file it down to small again!

I have been using Jessica Nails rejuvenation on them at the recommendation of a person in a salon for the last month or so but it hasnt seemed to help much.

    Anyone any suggestions?

I'm almost 27 and I've only just stopped biting mine!! I had the same problem so I went to the Health Shop and asked them to suggest something. The lady gave me a supplement thats called Hair, Skin and Nails. I've been taking it for two weeks now and have really started to notice the difference.

olive oil is supposed to be as good as any product, just rub into nails every day

You could try taking cod liver oil too. Its supposed to be great for nails. Keep filing them and they should stay strong.

Anything containing B vitamins is really good for hair and nails, in food or supplement form.

I got a manicure about a month ago and the place used Leighton Denny products. Bought a bottle of Bio Build Shield from there and have been using it since, before putting on nail varnish or just on its own. Haven't had a split nail since, and no breakages either! Highly recommend it.
