How often do you have to use a printer to stop the ink going dry? I have a printer that i very rarely use but when i do go to use it the ink has dried up.

Can you get printers that this doesnt happen to?

I have a Brother dcp 135c, cheap to buy and run, also it self cleans at intervals as well. I have left it for long periods of time without printing and never had a problem with the heads drying up.

Downside is that it does tend to get paper jams but once you learn to be carefull loading the paper it is 90% ok. Plus when printing photo paper it will drag several sheets through at once if you stick a load in. I just put in two at a time and it works just fine for photos in that respect. If you put just one photo sheet in it wont pull it through,(To be fair it could be the paper that is the problem though).

If your interested I'll put up where to buy the ink cheaply plus I also have a way to completely refill the thing for an approximate cost of 2euro a pop as well (that is all cartridges refilled) tried and tested (by myself).
