I recently noticed on my itunes store homepage that movies are available to purchase/rent. When I tried to avail of this i was told this service is not available in Ireland. I was then trying to buy some of the 'Sport Mixes' for the nike plus and got the same response.

Why the feck are we being left out in the cold without access to items such as these? What possible reasons are there to prevent Irish users to a music mix made for itunes only!!!!!!!

It is an issue and perhaps us irish itunes should band together to lobby apple to remmedy the situation.

I think at one point they made some claims about bringing this online for 2007 but obviously that never happened and our market share of apples worldwide sales probably isn't that high so realistically they dont really care too much about us.

To get around it you can get gift cards for itunes american or uk stores and create an account using that and a dummy address and download your movies but this isn't something we should have to do and perhaps a concerted push from apples irish users may make them take some notice.

Seeing as us all moaning about it individually doesn't work

i think i read somewhere its supposed to be to do with licensing laws - dunno if its true TBH. If so, i'm sure there are all sorts of hoops either apple or someone has to jump through, and as other poster said, amount of sales here might not warrant it for them.
