Can anyone recommend a reputable person to carry out an Energy Audit?
I am in the North Co.Dublin/Meath area so leinster wide is fine I suppose.

Search for BER assessors on the SEI website

    Thanks for the reply.

I am aware of the SEI list, I was just a little wary as it seems to be fairly vast and I have heard some people talking about so called 'cowboys' doing these audits.

I guess I was looking more for a personal recommendation from someone based on their experience.

Regulars will know to PM you only .

The SEI list breaks down by regions . Make the best shortlist you can - and when you make contact seek out only those who were construction professionals - with PI cover - long before they appeared on the list .

    Seek - you will find

Basically to ensure we are spending or money in the correct areas of the build.

We are getting a fairly high spec timber frame kit (Uv Ext. Walls = 0.16, Uv Celing (under cold roof) 0.12, Uv Sloping Ceiling =0.17) & windows (Uv = 0.8).

So with assumed decent airtightness and HRV system in place, I am hoping we will not have massive space heating requirements.

However, when it comes to this area I am fairly clueless and am finding myself taking shots in the dark at what might work, what the requirements might, piecing together bits of information from different sources and hoping they will work efficiently with our system.

My biggest fear is overspending on a complex heating system that is not neccessary. I am looking for a simple solution and have to yet to find it.

This is where I hope the Energy Audit can tell me exctly what I require so I can make a more informed decision.
