    Temporary suspension of lending, renewal and stack requests services
    Introduction of new catalogues

    The Library is replacing the system which operates all acquisitions, cataloguing and lending facilities. The following services are affected and we ask Library users for their co-operation while this essential work is completed.

    1. Automated Stack Requests
    From 10.00 on FRIDAY 24th July until MONDAY 10th AUGUST this service will be suspended.

    2. Lending and Book Stack Requests
    From 17.00 on WEDNESDAY 29th JULY until MONDAY 10th AUGUST these services, including renewals, will be suspended.

    3. Other Services
    During this period other services will operate, the catalogue will be available and the Library will be open for study and reading.
    Returned books may be left at the counters for processing later.

    4. Monday 10 August
    All services will re-commence from this date. Automated Stack Requests and online renewals will be available from our new catalogue

    so if you currently have books out are you going to end up with fines because they are suspending online renewal or are they letting that go?
    hardly seems fair if they dont
