Just saw a really bright light moving across the sky overhead from south west to north east at around 1.15am. Was it a satellite?

that was the international space station methinks.
they had a thing bout it in the weather update in rte1 tonight

So did I seen it. It was around the same time it looks like a star moving. It was more from East to west from my angle.

I also have seen many of these lights passing from a NW to SW direction over the night skies last week at 3am each night.

There were very high up just above the atmosphere. THey look like stars but move in a UFO movement across the sky. It was an amazing sight.

We are not alone:P Wake up people. The next day I'm out I will get pictures, But i deliberatly didnt take pictures the last time because it was late and I know people are so lost in their own false reality they wouldn't believe it even if there was proof.:P

To all the people who sitll live in the delusion of we are the only ones and follow everything NASA says. Almost everyone on this forum will start to fluster as I say these words.:D

To the astronomers out there, instead of browsing NASA websites all day. Go outside at night and look at the sky. You will be amazed at what you see. No I don't mean get a telescope. I mean sit out and look at the sky for 2 hours. Can you do it.?

Since I was small I've been doing this! Well worth it and probably why I like astronomy today! As for UFO's, there's very nearly ALWAYS a more rational explanation!

    Jesus tap dancing christ....

The ISS has been making (fortunately earlier than the past two weeks) passes since the weekend, and was vsible around that time last night. Unfortunately I live in a light polluted estate, and under seemingly perma-clouds.

Heres an idea (to the guy above)

Have a look suas to the west tonight at....01:34...moving east for 5 mins approx. Dont be fooled though, its not the internatinal space station passing through a series of easily defined, readily available alt/az directions

I do, and often more of late with the mild summer evenings. I keep a list from heavens above and catch Iridium flares, ISS passes, an occasional meteor (the Capricornid shower is peaking over the coming month, and the Perseid beginning), and rarely the odd minor comms satellite if I'm lucky with the binos

Just came in from the first UFO pass of the night and there is another one scheduled for 12.24am. Heavens Above website says its the ISS but I have it on good authority that the owner of Heavens above website is a secret member of David Ickes Reptillian Conspiracy league who gets his info from the Aliens themselves. Calling it an ISS pass is just a cover story. Its really an anal probing pass.

They have very sophisticated holo disguise technology that makes it look like the ISS when you video it through a telescope from your back garden.

Image by Ralf Vandeburgh using a webcam and his 12" Newtonian Telescope. The skill is not in having an uber expensive telescope or camera. The skill is in the right camera settings like exposure and being able to hand track the scope smoothly and accurately.

Its a pity Ralf was foiled by the Alien Cloaking technology though!!

Our friend Mysterious is either one of those peverse people who get their jollies by trolling constantly or else he is somewhat mentally disturbed. He deserves our pity.

Go to http://www.heavens-above.com/ , select your location from the database and you will get the predictions of satellites passing over your area for the next 10days.

Is it possible to set a drive motor to do the same? Would love to give it a go, but I doubt my panning skills are up to much.... Even at peak mag its a couple of minutes exposure at least surely??

    I'm beginning to realise

Its actually the opposite. I tried to image it at 15 frames per second and it was massively over exposed at the default camera settings. Its a very bright object.

For motorised Satelite/ISS tracking AFAIK one needs your scope whether it be a servocat equipped Alt Az Dob or ALT AZ SCT to be hooked up to Starry Night Pro planetarium software and only the Mac version of same. I cannot understand why they have not ported the code over to the PC version.

However most ISS imagers Hand track. Holding the OTA from the back of the scope and trying to keep the ISS in the FOV of their red dot finder or else looking in an optical finder. You need super smooth scope motions and it is very very hard. Most people lead the target. ie. Point the scope in front of the ISS and hop it passes through the FOV of the scope/webcam. Even the best ISS imagers are lucky to get the ISS wiz through the FOV for a second or two. But if you are capturing at a high enough frame rate, then there is a good chance of some OK frames where the atmospheric seeing didn't turn the view to mush or the ISS smear or streak from the scope movement. If you get 4 or 5 half decent frames in a row, you can stack them with stacking software to bring out more detail.

Heres some pics of my one and only attempt to far. These were the frames that weren't blurred or streaked. Unfortunately my camera settings massively over exposed the ISS. If I had of had the settings right I might have had some decent images.

And for Mysterious. Heres a picture of the Planet Tharg I stole after hacking into the UFO spacecrafts computers as it fly over tonight.

Cheers, thats way beyond me for the moment!

Might stick it out for the 01:59 though, first clear night in days.

Thats a great image of the Planet Tharg, at least we now know for certain that it has rings. Cool shots!

i seen very faint objects moving the sky tonight, you should go out and check.

My housemate says it could be NASA space shuttles..... "MENTAL BLOCK" people would pee in their pants rather than actually believe that it could be other life apart from us flying around doing their thing. I shown him one, and he said that's a plane. These things fly a lot ****ing faster than planes, and these are no NASA beefcakes. These are UFOs. Its in ****ing space!!!

Its not a plane and it's not NASA, unless NASA has a very huge space fleet of space shuttles all happening to be flying around over Ireland 70km up and over into space  Yeah.... people... sure....

Its actually laughable, that people are programmed so much. NASA has everyone trained. "we could be the only ones"

If NASA said that there was no water on mars anymore, I guarantee you half the world you believe it. They put these stupid-cheap-robot T.V-cars on Mars so we would think they are "looking for life" Rofl............ I mean seriously how stupid can we possibly be.

I actually can't tell anyone or bring any further points to what I know., there is no point in revealing it. People have to come to terms with the lies here and find out who's lieing!. Because someone is telling a very very big lie. It seems people prefer to live in delusion.

    like.........................................

Whats irriational about other "life" observing "our" world.

Wouldn't we do the same 1,000 years down the road.

Alien disclosure has been prevented for top secret reasons. The only way you prove to people that aliens existed if they came down right now and walked into a fast food joint and asked for a big mac.

They are not going to show themselves in this way. Think outside the box people. They are not going to this. They would be in contact with the high ranking people on this world and they decide if we know about it. We just go about our daily lives with little to no idea whats going on below our feet and above our heads. :)

yeah sure, aliens observing our planet wouldnt show themselves in this way, they are trying to conceal their existance from the masses right? instead they fly around in our skies with their crafts lit up like christmas trees showing a multitude of patterns abducting livestock and the odd person because even with all their advanced technology they dont have the common sense to conceal themselves fully as they blatently dance around in our skies for our entertainment.

if you want to talk about alien conspiracies or whatever do so in an appropriate forum, like maybe the Paranormal Forum

First of all alien life, is normal. First and foremost point. I'm not dicussing aliens. I'm discussing UFO in the sky. Aliens happen to fly them, not my fault!

Second, Is they have shown us. We refuse to accept it. We also would rather live in delusion and lie to ourselves and not ask questions and find out. Nobody is interested.

Why because we lap it up to NASA, the greatest liars ever.

You don't know their motives, so don't suggest you know, because you don't. The fact is seeing lights in the sky and flying space object is pretty much the norm. Thousands of people have seen these things. But we are so hellbent in blocking these facts out of our heads.

Why dont you check the cited website and see if a nice pattern doesn't emerge?

Seriously, why bother posting this nonsense?
