Think it gives u 80 hrs of recording time, however UPC has another PVR as well here in Limerick, think its a Pace or philips its black in colour....looks really outdated...they use them around Europe so you can bring it with you should you move etc to another country...

Limitations however are it has only 1 scart connection and has no rf out....which is really silly in my opinion.

A 3.5" 160GB PATA Maxtor (I took my old broken one apart before they came to replace it out of curiosity :)).

You shouldn't bring the box anywhere. You don't own it outright.

    Hi guys,

Sorry to hijack your post but I've recently got UPC installed and have this model DVR. I've hooked up the box to an AV sender to send the signal upstairs (aswell as in the main room) and was wondering if anyone knows if any of the 'one for all' remotes will work with the DVR box so I can change the channels updstairs?? If so, any specific make / model? Failing that, anyone know where I can get my hands on a second remote for this DVR box?

    Thanks!

Btw do you feel their set top box is sluggish. It takes forever when switching between channels not to mention if you enter the menu. Can I just buy one myself and replace it and is that allowed? Not sure if they can detect the box id like for example if I changed the internet modem it has a MAC address and they know I replaced it.
