Could be nothing

I'm getting a little worried and I was looking for people's opinions or if anyone has experienced something similar.

Usually when I get my period, it is very heavy and lasts 5 - 7 days. Last Thursday I got the usual pains which disappeared after a few hours, I had very light spotting for 2 days and then nothing. I still have hormone headaches, which I usually get but the spotting stopped after 2 days.

I took a home pregnancy test yesterday and it turned up negative so I felt better after, but now I'm getting a bit nervous again and I do plan on making a doctor appointment, if only to ease my mind as my periods have always been regular as clockwork and have never had anything like this.


I just wanted to know if anyone has experienced this? I don't even know what I would do if it turned out I was pregnant, I work 12 hours a day and the thought of having a child scares the hell out of me.

I should mention I am on the pill and took it late a few days last month.
