    Hi,
Does anybody have an online share dealing a/c with NIB?
If so, how do you find them?

I have a small portfolio (£4000) that I'm transferring over from Hoodless Brennan in the UK & just wanted to get peoples opinions before I seal the deal.

If you daytrade stocks make sure to ask NIB if there is any delay with execution orders, ( think exection times on phone can take upto 15 minutes).

Why would you be bothered daytrading stocks? When you have to deal with painfully slow execution and a host of fees + stamp duty..try CFDs or spreadbet and save urself a few quid unless you plan on a buy and hold strategy

    Hi Dragon,
Thanks for your interest. No, I wouldn't be looking at daytrading, I would be looking at a longer view on this one.

i am with NIB, seems ok to me, Am not certain about the 20 min delay thingy.
i used think that price on offer at that moment was real time, not so sure.

the price seems ok 25 euro to buy or sell plus 1% tax on the buy side

    Hi Rugbyman

25 euro minimum and what is the comm rate for stock trading with NIB

    thanks

to C.Dragon, not sure what you mean about comm rate

but if you ring NIB to deal,(obviously you must have an account with them) and dont have online trading then the cost is 50 euro per deal, whether this gets you a more real time purchase price ,I dont know.

    regards,Rugbyman

    Hi Rugbyman,
It's strange that you are being charged €25 per trade. In their current Fees & Charges booklet they are quoting a €20 per trade minimum.

    Hi Dragon,
The comission is 0.75% for Irish & UK Shares Trades up to €15,000. It drops to 0.5% for €15k-30k.

    Thanks Random Stranger..
Was just curious.. .75% is very high rate to be paying for a delayed service. I pay 10bps (.10%) commission trading stock with my Irish crowd that gives me instant execution and real time prices..the minimum charge is about 17 euro

    Hi C.Dragon,
I've never heard of such low charges from an Irish brokers. Do you have to do a lot of trades to get these charges? Are there annual fees for your A/C?
