is it possible to get a new ESB connection put on site before the house is built?, we intend to use a mobile home to live in whilst we build the house, would ESB networks connect to the mobile home?

    Thanks

They probably will but the least you will need is a copy of the planning permission for the house - which you now have I believe.

    Ask for a builders supply.

make sure you inform the planning authorities you are getting temp accom for residential living on the site while building.

very good websites out there for mobile homes and log cabins etc, would love to give you some but got banned for 'pimping' websites earlier. My parents are getting a log chalet and its very nice, 50 sq foot with 2 bedrooms and 70mm of insulation. Fantastic little thing, went to view it last month. they just got planning for it but it took very little time to pass.

i'm building in s. galway and they won't allow a log chalet on the site but will a mobile home (thats a pull with trailer mobile home and not one of those stand alone mobile homes). we have opted out and decided to live with her parents.

and you probably already know but it does put quite a pinch in your pocket to connect the esb to a new build. best of luck with the new build and keep in touch with anything you feel may cause probs for us who are yet to start.
