Nice Spot to bring the Kids

Stumbled across Carraigbyrne Mini Farm last weekend. Few miles outside New Ross past the Horse and Hound pub on the way to Wexford. Nice spot for an afternoon with the kids. They have mini horses, Llamas, giant rabbits, loads of birds, pigmy goats, maras, eagle owls (some claws) plus many more. Also has picnic area and a nice playground. They also provide bikes and trikes etc to push the kids around in

There is also a walk up Carraigbyrne hill which they said had great views at the top. Apparently takes about an hour up a forest path/road

Not affiliated to them in any way, just passing on a nice day out as school holidays are here and I'm sure posters are looking to keep the kids entertained

€5 per person and kids under 2 free I think

Another nice day out is Parson's Green in Clogheen, past Clonmel. You can bring a picnic or eat there, 2 playgrounds, pet farm, lovely walk, small sandy "beach" area along stream, pony rides, horse and trap rides, boat ride etc. It has a cafe and a separate chipper.

If you're going try and get there before lunch so you can make the most of the place. There's plenty to do and see.

yep, another vote for Parson's Green. My kids loved it (when they were still kids) and we camped there many times around 10 years ago.
