    Hello

    want to go on sun holiday this summer .none of mates can or will go so am forced to do it alone.looking to meet new people

    are there holiday packages (prefferably cheap)that cater for people who do't know each other i.e. complete strangers holidaying together?

    I usually travel on me own, Hostels are your best bet, look up the ones online and try and figure out which would have the age group you're after. Also the ones with bar on site and pool tables etc would be the best bet imo.

    id find it awkward trying to interact wth groups whom already know each other
    just looking for 1 week package hol to meet cool ppl anfd have the craic...preferabbly some nice ladies

    If it's a package holiday type thing you're looking for, this might help...

    I went to Gran Canaria on my own a few years ago, following a really stressful week in work, I decided on Friday afternoon to see what I could get and flew out of Dublin that night.

    The first day was a bit weird, sitting by the pool on my own with no company, but later in the day I was sitting at the poolside bar and got talking to a couple of guys and when they realised that I was on my own, word soon spread around the place and offers to go out with different groups soon came along.

    As it turned out, I went out with a different gang of people most nights, including one night with a bunch of English lads (which actually turned out to be one of the better nights) and it was one of my better sun holidays I reckon.
