Missd the first few minutes, just tuned in to see Rated Y2J walk to the ring to take on Primo and Carlito. Such a shame about Edge getting injured, it looks like they really were going to use them to build the tag-titles up. Two stars of their calibre being in the division would have really given it some legitimacy

Was in the middle of making this thread too.. :o

Anyone else finding this ep really really boring? :(

Raw just seems to have fallen down a few rungs on my ladder of entertainment.

But look, they have models in skimpy outfits grabbing each other! Any minute now Lawlor will say the word puppies and we will all giggle like teenagers!

I miss wrestling, sports entertainment is shite

The Million Dollar Man alone is making this Raw the best in months.

Never thought id describe MVP as this, but that VIP lounge was.. Captivating!

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 9,972 ✭✭✭orestes

    A double of excellent promos.

MVP and Swagger will be fantastic, and Teds face turn is gonna be great judging by his match with Orton and him slapping Ted Snr, he's really being pushed and looking good.

WWE really have nothing for Show atm do they

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 266 ✭✭currythis

MVP and Swagger should be good!

I really hope Big Show takes another year or two off soon,he is utterly useless!!

More useless facts aswell, who really cares how many homes raw can be seen in?!

He did a pretty good job of making Kofi and Bourne look worthless.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,600 ✭✭✭✭CMpunked

    Suprisingly not.

    I predict Edge. ;)

    Or Dusty Rhodes.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,820 ✭✭✭grames_bond

i'd say we are very likely to see dusty rhodes eventually.

Solid beginning for MVP and Swagger, but I do think they are capable of much much more than what they gave in their promos last night.

I thought the women's match was alright for once.

No. They said there might be celebrity hosts and what not. When are they coming?

Definitely. It was annoying listening to this with random very audible shouts coming from the audience.

What was wrong with Raw this week? Was much much better than it's been for months. Daddy DiBiase was absolutely fantastic, MVP and Swagger laid a good foundation for what could be a very good feud, Randy/Ted was also very good as was HHH/Cena and Bourne/Kofi was pretty fun while it lasted. While it's a shame to have another tag team break up if his head is into it a Carlito heel turn should also be interesting. Also the diva's match wasn't bad. Any other week and I'd agree with you about the quality of Raw but this weeks was good.

id somewhat agree with you there as Raw probably was better than usual and not just cos of DiBiase Sr but it not being Live cancelled that out for me unfortunatley as i already knew what happened (my own fault i know) hopefully its the start of an improvement though where they have less emphasis on the ME as afterall they have built the Randy vs HHH for long enough (yeah i know they are throwwing in Cena too atm but meh) and instead focus on seemingly promising feuds like Kofi vs Bourne for the IC belt and MVP vs Swagger.

Was Raw live on Monday night? Thought it was weird to see Edge wrestle on Monday when he got injured at the weekend. Makes me think this weeks Raw was taped before last weekend.

It was taped after last weeks Raw. So Edge worked two matches in the same night, then did a couple more at the Smackdown/ECW/Superstars taping over the next few days followed by an international tour. Am I the only one that's not surprised he's injured? And by the way, since when can Jericho and Edge wrestle on all brands? I distinctly remember Michael Cole only saying they could defend their titles on all three brands.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,206 ✭✭✭✭Rjd2

No it was mentioned before that the tag champs could appear on all brands. I agree with those who thought Raw was good. The Orton v Ted match was really good as was the MVP and Swagger segment, even the women’s match was decent which I think can be credited to Alicia and Gail. The only downside was Show killing Evan and Kofi and that Henry and Cody match done nobody any devours. The Million Dollar man was awesome as well; can we have as GM full time Vince?

Nope: At 2:10 Cole mentions that they can defend their titles on all three brands, not appear on all three brands.

Nope: At 2:10 Cole mentions that they can defend their titles on all three brands, not appear on all three brands.

correct that is what he said but he didnt say they couldnt appear on them all in non defenses, surely if they are ever to start a proper feud with a team not from SD (say Raw, not that they will now that Edge is injured) they would have to appear on Raw to do so before most likely only defending the gold against them at a PPV.

Didn't say they could either though. :) Raw was good enough this week (I would have much preferred to see DiBiase/Orton go to a non-finish), DiBiase was brilliant as GM for a night though.

I was referring to them in previous weeks and when they popped up on Superstars when they were teasing a programme with Shelton and Charlie over the belts.
