Hey guys, I am off interrailing next Sunday.

The plan is to stick along / east of the Rome - Berlin line. Sweden, Denmark, Germany, Hungary, Czech Republic, Austria, Switzerland, Croatia and Italy. Does anyone have any suggests / experiences they would like to share?

If anyone is interested in doing one themselves, I will be blogging the whole experience, here.

Have fun, it's a brilliant way to explore Europe! I've done it and had a blast, except having to sit in the corridor in a train from Athens to Istanbul (3 days on a floor)

Oh wow, you got the moneys worth from the ticket !!

I was tempted to go to Ankara just so I could say I went as far as the train could take me (for free).

I've always wanted to do it; I'll probably do it next year during a longer summer.

Best of luck with it anyway, and I'll be following your blog (I'm bloody addicted to the blogs of a few people who post here).

If you can hit Estonia, Talinn (Sp? I dunno) is very nice, and very cheap.

And if you're feeling really adventurous you could take a ferry over to Finland and check out there.

Scandinavia is really expensive. Likewise with Northern Italy (Milan).
Save most of your money for the Eastern European leg of your journey. Everything is dirt cheap there.

You'll have a blast and probably run into dozens of other European teenagers doing the same thing in your hostels! Enjoy!

Enjoy it anyway, Errlloyd. I'll be following your blog. :)

Eh the costs are all listed in one of the blog posts (if you meant how much). Not too cheap. Basically you buy a ticket, in my case a 31 day unlimited pass for the train. Using this you travel from place to place and banter in each city as you go.

Estonia for some reason isn't covered in the rail pass. It seems some of the ex Eastern Block Baltic states have missed out. I'd love to go though, I hear its amazing.
