A friend of mine who recently played international rugby for the US in Churchill cup is looking to come and play in Ireland or even UK. As he has a few friends here he'd prefer to play here. How would he go bout contacting a club. He's emailed a few clubs but no reply's.

UCD have a one or two of the extended US squad playing for them, guy who came through the Leinster ranks underage before declaring for the US, so he could contact UCD or the players directly and ask about the set-up. Young Munster have a guy who was on the US u-20 panel, iirc.

I'm surprised the US Union wouldn't help him out with contacts, EOS would know a lot people in the various clubs.

You could also post your question on the various club boards of Leinsterfans.com, uafc.co.uk or munsterfans.com and see what comes back, a few guys involved in clubs post on the various sites.

Could well try for Connacht if he's good enough

Or if he's thinking of the UK, I'm sure there are plenty of ND1 (which has a fair few pro teams) clubs that would potentially be interested.

Hey OP, Scott LeValla and Pat Danahey both played for DUFC(Trinity College) this year in AIL Division2 and both got on great. Scott is back playing again this year so I'd get on to him about the experience and to see if you're interested in the set up. The head coach is over in the states right now as well as far as I know. If you would like contact details or more info you can PM me.
