Holiday while on the dole

    Sorry to butt in. but i am on job seekers allowance and my oh booked a holiday to spain last week (she works) now i have to tell social welfare that i am going to spain in 2 weeks for 2 weeks will there be a problem. AM SORRY BUT NEW TO BOARDS AND CANT START A NEW THREAD SO SORRY

    Thanks watsupdoc but it is very short notice How can i explain that i am on dole but able to go on a two week holiday:(

    You are allowed 2 weeks holiday on the dole that is 12 days plus 2 sundays, you let them know at least 2 weeks before you go fill in a form and you sign on the day after you come home , they hold your payment until then, they dont usually ask how you can afford to go.
