Teaching computers (VEC?FAS?)

I'm 22 and just finished up a Computer Science degree (with a good grade). I'd like to teach computers (at any level from literacy to programming) but I'm a bit lost with where to start and who to contact. Ideally, I'd like to teach part time (i.e. I'm not really looking for a teaching career).

I've seen that FAS offer a huge array of courses throughout the county. Similarly, the dublin VEC website has lots of FETAC courses. Furthermore, there are the ECDL courses! Is there any one place that overlooks all this?
If I am looking to teach, do I apply through these websites, or do I apply to the specific schools that run the courses?

I have a small amount of teaching experience (I taught basic computer literacy in Ethiopia for a month in 2008 to kids and adults). Should this be enough to get a place teaching?

You need to be clear on the difference between teaching (as in a 2nd level teacher) and teaching in the likes of the FETAC courses with FAS. The former requires to to train as a teacher and obtain the H.Dip, the latter does not as you are not technically a teacher.

What you may need for non-second level teaching is the JEB diploma. Personally, I think it is a load of rubbish, but I believe FAS and the VETEC require trainers to have it.

As for ECDL - do what I did. Sit the exams and get the qualification. You should then be able to teach it in pretty much anywhere.
