seeds peers swarms

    i dont know if i am in the right forum or not but can anyone explain to me what a peer is in relation to downloading torrents,also leechers,swarms and seeds,what do they all mean:confused::confused::confused::confused:

    seed= pc with 100% of the file you trying to download
    leecher= someone downloading and not uploading
    peer= a pc that you are connected to (i think)
    swarm no idea

    a common misconception. a leecher IS uploading, and sometimes at high speeds, but it just means they dont have 100% of the torrent yet, and are still downloading.

    A seed is a person with the complete file and is just uploading it

    A leecher is a person who is downloading the file and is also uploading it but does not have the complete file

    A peer is the other people also uploading and downloading the same file that connects to you via your same port

    A swarm is a group with the same file on a server you can connect to swarms depending on which server (website) you downloaded the torrent from
