are you just lumping on donegal alone? at odds of 1.04 it's hardly worth it.

well if i put 1k on them it's a free €50 as far as i'm concerned

Maybe if you try donegal -10 or something like that if your that confident in them. At least you'll get a better return than €50

I really don't get that, nothing is a certainty and you would risk a grand for €50? yeah as lushed said, IF you are that confident do a handicap bet

One can be very confident of a team winning and class them as a certainty, I would say Donegal fall in to this category and it is picking up money for a minimal risk. However to suggest that they win by 10 points is a totally different proposition. Teams can slacken off in the last ten mins if they are very far ahead and any team is happy to win by around 7 or 8 points.

Wexford -2 1/1 offlay to slow out of the box
Fermanagh -1 11/10 great record in qualifers
Louth -1 11/10 Andrew morrissey is a big loss to tipp
leitrim - 1 11/8 changes should merit a home win
Antrim -3 1/1 Laois hurling is struggling
    E 50 acc Returns E2044, almost 40/1.

well the handicap isn't a certainty, the win is, in my opinion. i'm taking risk off the table and generating profit. if i do four similar bets i'll make €200 profit for the day with very little risk.

you should try it. back stuff with shyte odds very heavily and you will make more money than throwing €50 here and there on games that are essentially coin flips

i see your point but what if you done this for donegal's last game against antrim? donegal lost by a point and they were heavy favourites with similar odds to this game to win that game.

did you actually place that bet yet? I'll be watching the game with great interest if you did

    i actually didn't.

i went to put it on and i started getting this really bad feeling so just left it. they will probably still win but when i get a gut feeling i just walk away

i'll lump on kilkenny tomorrow instead

jeez thats a bit harsh. have you never said you were going to back something and then change your mind?if i was a shyte talker i would have just told you i put the bet on. donegal are cruising to victory so it would have been a handy 50 in the end

Ok guys i apologise. It's just that i've never seen anyone risk so much for so little gain. What if you placed this large bet on donegal against antrim a few weeks ago where donegal were favourites? You'd have lost a grand

what are you on about? thats a different game? if i thought that game was a dead cert i would have had money on that, but i didn't.

donegal won very easily in the end, so as i said earlier it was very easy money. i just lost my MOJO today, i'm totally rattled with a mega hangover. i reckon i wouldn't have thought twice about the bet if i had a clear head.:o

    Today I'm going for

    Limerick +8 (evens)
    Dublin +15 (4/9)
    Kilkenny Minors (1/2)

Bet of €5 returns about €21.

Decided to stick a €10 on eddie brennan to score the first goal at 11/2 with pp, he loves the open space of croker
