Hi, I just rung Sky to upgrade to HD, but forgot to ask how long I have to wait till I get it, so my question is, how long is the waiting list for sky HD?
    Thanks in advance

I rang them yesterday. Got confirmation email today and they are installing this Thursday.

    Not bad.

    Mine took exactly 7 days.

Yeah I was enquiring yesterday and they said there was no significant delay. I remember looking at it in January and they said there was a 6 week delay. Guess that's the recession for ya!

From initially ringing them up to look for it til they sent out the confirmation email it was two and a half weeks, once I got the email I rang them and it was installed three days later.

I am thinking of getting HD in August also . But I have a few questions which I don't see the answers for online - I currently have Sky + (downstairs) and multi-room standard box (upstairs). Will they move my Sky + box upstairs to replace my standard box (multi-room) and if so will I be charged extra per month for having Sky + and Sky + HD? Also will I have full seperate Sky + features on both boxes? (obviously won't be able to record HD channels upstairs)
Thanks as always for any help/advice.

Just decided to come back to this thread, everyone elses installation seems to be happening quickly, however I am still waiting for mine.
I cant believe this will be my fourth week this Friday. Called them today and they said they are unsure when it will be installed.

Yes, they will put your existing sky+ box upstairs if you want, and you wont be charged any extra per month other than the normal multiroom and HD extra charges

    thanks Zonda999.
Do Sky do installs on Saturdays? I know the waiting time would probably be a lot longer
