Trying to find some info on my bike

Have an Obrea Lauren, entry level road bike i brought a few years ago, considering selling it, and trying to find some on info about it, so i can advertise it/sell it better, trying the online route as i cant find the original documents that came with it (i usually hold on to this stuff), but cant find anything, even on the obrea web site

I could tell ya what its made from, how many gears, frame size, etc, the basic stuff, but even know i have been riding bikes since i can remember, slightly embarrassingly i wouldn't know the proper names/terminology for all the components, even though i carry out basic repairs and buy the odd component as well

Hoping I can use this to compare similar bikes with similar components to see what they go for and also in looking at the next upgrade, any suggestions on where to look would be great

hi i reckon you actually have an orbea larrau it is an entry level road ride from 2003 onwards .IIRC if you turn the bike upside down there should be an aluminium plate on the tube close to the bottom bracket with the serial number the first 2 numbers should give the model year. then type 'orbea larrau 200x' into google to bring up an archived sales page of your bike and the copy the official blurb and specification s from the website and attach to your ad.
as the bike is at least a couple of years old and was an entry level bike and current 2009 larrau are going for 400 pounds sterling you wIll be doing well to get more than a couple of hundred euro for it.

cheers, it is a larrau (my bad), got it around 2004, alu frame, does have an obrea branded plate on the down tube near the bottom bracket, no serial number on there, there is an engraving in the frame though on the underside of the bottom bracket, possible thats what i'm looking for, was looking for entry level at the time, and after taking a few for a test spin, thats the one i went with, as you said, wouldn't expect to get anymore than the 200 for it

    ;)
