Brian Early raises to 1050, Richie lawlor raises to 6k, Brian raises to 15k.
Richie goes all in and Brian calls. Richie has Ace/Ace and Brian has Big slick off. No bad beat and Brian is left with 2,000 chips. Long way to go though.

We will post full chip counts after each meal break every 3 hours if possible.

Brain Early is gone, couldn't make the short stack work pocket Brian 44 against Graeme Oneil AQ, You know the rest. Just in case you were wondering ace on the Turn and Brian Is gone.

Cormac Kilroy, All in for 19,600 pre-flop with the Ace of Spades. Gets called by Chris Oconnor with Ace / Ace, two spades on flop, Spade on the turn and spade on the river. I hate Aces. So Cormac doubles through and Chris is down to 15k.

High hand so far Aces over Jacks, that will never last. Brendan Byrne had quad kings but bet it out and everyone folded and it didn't go to the show down.

Jose lamb just flopped quad jacks and it went to a show down so that is the best hand now.

The Eagle has a lucky escape short chipped about 7k Eddie pushes with Ace queen of spades and gets called by Brian Mcelvany with KK.
Flop comes Ace, Queen, two. Blankety Blank and Eddie now has 15k in chips.

Before today Eddie has won his last 4 tournaments in a row in the Poker Room Including the 10k Bruce Poker game two weeks ago. Can he take down the big one and the Braclet ?

71 players total and 61 remaining.

Giving a total prizepool of €14,200 with €2,500 added in additional prizes.

Numbers not as good as expected but still a very good game.

    Aces no good once again

John Clarke makes a raise to 900
    Shane O’Rourke re-raises to 3,500
John pushes all in for 15,500 in total, Shane calls and asks Ace’s?
John nod’s his head and shows AA, Shane turns over KK
The flop brings no help to Shane but he hits his two outer on the turn and with no help on the river John is gone 58th.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 276 ✭✭zsoulking

O’ how sick this game can be.

    Paddy O’Neil raises to 1,000,
    Dianne Hunt Re-raises to 4,000
    Flop comes down A,K,5,
8 on the turn, Jack on the river and it all goes in.
    Paddy gone in 57th.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 276 ✭✭zsoulking

Dianne Hunt still stacking up Paddy’s chips look’s down to see the snow men once again.

Flop comes 8,6,5 Glen O’Rourke has 8,4 and once again it all goes in.

No help for Glen on the turn or river and Dianne knocks out another player building up some momentum.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 276 ✭✭zsoulking

Lights camera action and allot of luck,

Limp limp limp then Yifei pushes all in for about 9,000.

Brian McElveny has KK and snap call’s.

    Yifei sheepishly turns over K,8

Flop comes 7,9,10 now Yifei has a sneaky smile on his face the J comes on the turn and Yifei doubles up to almost 20K.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 276 ✭✭zsoulking

    Who’s trapping who?

Rob Taylor makes a standard pre flop raise and Yifei calls.

Flop comes 9 high and Yifei first to act check’s expecting Rob to make a continuation bet.

Rob obliges and Yifei flat calls, the turn comes a blank and Yifei pushes all in for about 14k looking very confident.

Rob Taylor talks through every scenario and calls showing KK.

Yifei can’t believe it he shows Q,Q and is gone from the tournament in 56th.

Sorry about the breaks running a little longer, tried to run a fun side event in Rock, Paper, scissors to add some fun to a long event. Would have to evaluate If we would do it in future. In saying that I think the 54 people who played had fun but understand your concerns.

    Paul smallwood just gone.

I think Fami is chip leader with 140K but will give you chip counts for the leaders on the next update.

Prob best to leave the structure seeming as it's their first mini WSOP and see how it works out. Even if it'll be a ridic long slog to get a winner. GL all today.

Feni (presume it's him) could easily have been on 298,400 with me out the door 5 mins from end of last night!!! Phew!

Back today with 34k. Pretty uneventful day 1 with a high of 40k, a low of 16k and a scary double up with QQ just before end of play to give me a chance today.

Excellent tourney and that Indian food last night was fab. WP to Ross, John & all the Poker Room crew for a great setup.

I'm stunned that this game only got 71 runners; thought it would easily top 100.

Just charging up the iPod before I head back over for 4pm.

Good luck to everyone left in today.

The trick is not only to get them but to get paid off with them twice given your tight image (says me :D). That's the skill ;)
