Repeat exams on transcript

Does anyone know- if you fail your exams and then do repeats, does the result you got in your repeats show up, or does it just go down as pass or 40% or something like that?

I did economics and history and in first year I failed all my exams. In the repeats I got II.1s in all my exams. I'm hoping my percentage results will show up even if the result for the ear is just "PASS".

Still waiting on transcript. Any ideas?

As far as I can remember it comes up as FAIL PASS. Your result in the repeats may not even show up, it might just be PASS.

However, I remember talking to someone who told me that their specific department did put the result on the repeats on the transcript instead of your 1st attempt + PASS (or the %). So it varies (or did, at least!).

With regard to the transcripts produced by (course offices, schools and) departments, there are no guidelines as to how to lay out transcripts AFAIK. Inevitably that means that each department will do their own thing, based on what they have done in the past, and there is unlikely to be any consistency across departments.

With regard to the Bologna Diploma Supplement, departments are required to prepare spreadsheets with a whole-number percentage mark for each credit-bearing module, and the return for the student is annotated with 'A' or 'SU' depending on whether the student passed overall at the annual or supplemental session. The spreadsheets also list the overall grade ('I','II.1',etc.) attained at this session at which they passed overall. The only credit-bearing modules returned without an overall percentage mark are those for which the student was granted an exemption after the scholarship examination. Where students sit papers on some but not all of their modules at the supplemental examination, the percentages for the modules will be a mixture of annual and supplemental marks (with no indication of which are annual and which are supplemental).

This is the information that is supplied for the preparation of Bologna Diploma Supplements. Something will emerge at the other end of the production process, but you would have to look at the specification to determine what.
