Working fine for me in the Wesht, well almost fine, but not related to storms.

Only got it installed on Monday and my only issue so far is missing RTE1/2, TV3 & TG4.
Contacted Sky and they have sent a boost signal, saying it could take 4 hours to update, have the feeling I'll be ringin' them again :(

I'm getting some of my recordings last night won't play.. and freezing the box. Other than that it's been fine.

Have ye tried unpluggin the box from the mains for a while, then rebooting?

Dish maybe misaligned, though unless it was stormy, a bit unlikely. Is dish on the chimney? If it got any electrical touch from lightening, then LNB and/or tuners could be fried.

BTW, what make is your Sky+ box?
