Has anyone been here? I'm going over and was wondering if there is interesting things to do in regards to diving, surf etc... and also things to take up my time other than water sports.

Can anyone post any links. i search and it's kind of limited.

I don't think I'll be leaving Dar Es Salam but if I do it'll only be to Zanzibar. No Mountain climbing or safari-ing for me.

    Thanks

    Hey there,

I was there about 7 months ago not really that nice of a area was staying in a guesthouse only 2 nights so can't really judge. We had been in Africa 4 months so we were racing for easy Africa. So we headed straight to Zanzibar which is paradise.
For accomadation a lovely spot run by a german couple is the blue. oyster i think its on hostel bookers.com.
Jambani beach is really nice and unspolit good spot varied prices as well in relation to hotels etc. You must name your price or they will jsut rip you off.
Blue Oyster is German run so prices on website are correct its not a hostel its a hotel scenery is beautiful and food is great.
You can also get cheaper options for about 30 euro a night for two people in some other hotels along the beach.

Sorry I don't have much more info on Dar
