    Hey Guys,

*Don't know if the thread title is right, so mods can change it to suit.*

Anyway, I've been learning to drive for a few weeks now on two different cars, a '00 Fiat Punto and a '97 1.8 Toyota Carina E. (Carina has much more mileage than Punto)

The thing is, Its very easy to start the Carina and take off, you accelerate at all, let off the clutch and it goes while the Punto is a lot harder, cutting out frequently. It just takes much more precision when it comes to the accelerator and letting off the clutch when you start the car.

Just want to know why this might be ?

    Thanks,
    Barry.

For starters there's a difference in power. 1.8 Toyota V 1.2 Fiat. The more power you have, the less likely you'll stall.

Also the Carina is heavier/bigger than the Punto.

You would probably find that if you only drove the Punto for a while you would get used to the clutch.

Just make sure you get plenty of practice in whichever car you intend to take the test in.

FYI, if you move to a 'smart' meter electricity plan, you CAN'T move back to a non-smart plan.

You don't have to take a 'smart' meter if you don't want one, opt-out is available.

Buy drinks in 3L or bigger plastic bottles or glass bottles or cartons to avoid the DRS fee.
