Was thinking of going during july/august but weather very humid over there at that time and good chance of hurricanes so we opted out. Will go at a different time next year tho. Some tour operators do good deals try different ones on the net like tropicalsku.ie or beaconsouthamerica.com. We got a good quote from a tour operator in cork - havanna, then touring countryside - trinidad and going to cigar plantations etc for a week then a week at an all inclusive resort for a week. Seems to be the standard thing to do there. say it would be amazing, have heard good things about the place but dunno what weather would be like in november

went there a few years back with some mates - weather can be iffy, we had lots of plans to go sight seeing, visit mexico, some other nearby places etc but ended up stuck in the middle of the largest hurricane in their history.

would recommend Cuba still for the little we got to see of it, Havana is well worth visiting or spending a few days in. Met lots of people there and had a great time with the locals who were only happy to include us in everything, going to clubs or eating in someones home. Some great beaches too for relaxing. Humidity was a bit of a killer for me (cold weather person) but i would still recommend a trip. money goes far out there too.

Hurricane season is officially June-November, with the most dangerous months being Aug/Sept and Oct to a lesser extent. November should be lovely. We were there at the start of October and the weather was beautiful, only rained once and only for about 20 mins.

We spent 4 nights in Havanna and then 10 nights in Varadero, which is a beach resort. If I was doing it again, I would spend less time at the beach and more time exploring the country. Varadero is nice, but in reality, you could be anywhere, there is very little sense of culture. Havanna is definitly worth at least a few days. It is an amazing city and totally unique. The museum of the revolution is amazing, a must see if you have any interest in the history of Cuba. A cigar factory is also an interesting visit.
