I along with the rest of the guys in the house and many of our neighbours have been parking on the street outside our house for several years (2004 for us). Though it's a disc parking area none of us ever got a permit as it didn't seem necessary and because of how ridiculously difficult it is to get one (you have to sarcrifice a virgin during a full moon while standing on one foot and wearing a blonde wig etc etc). Anyway yesterday we all got ticketed so looks like the corpo have decided to increase revenue by sending the wardens outside of their usual areas. Just letting people know in case there's anyone else in a similar situation with parking.

We're on the North side not too far from Shandon street.

No longer true. As of 2009 the Corpo requires that all virgin sacrifices are performed during a transit of Venus across the sun. The next one is in 2012. Good luck.

If you've got time to waste, appeal your fines anyway. You will lose but someone in the Corpo will have to go to the trouble of replying. They are extremely efficient at turning down appeals.
