Haven't had any luck finding info for the above. Was wondering if anybody has travelled between these cities and knows on which days the train runs or could direct me to a site where I might be able to find out. Thanks.

I believe that you'll have to take a train from Riga to Minsk and from there to Vitebsk

Leave Riga at 18.17 : arrive in Minsk at 07:12 : catch train to Vitebsk at 08:00 : arrive at 12:37

According to this site which is probably the best in Europe for train timetables

you can also go via Novosokolniki and it's a much shorter journey. Not sure what Visa implications there might be though.

You'd need a transit visa for Russia, so probably not worth it. Do you need to take a train? There are more buses.
