Hi folks, I was broken in to on Monday june 29th in the Slane area. Scumbags took the following guitars:
Gibson Gothic Explorer (black)
LTD F-200 (wine)
LTD JH-200 fitted with EMG Zakk Wylde pickups(black)
LTD EX-50 " " " " " " "
Ibanez SZ520 (i think), blue, flame inlay at octave.
Tanglewood Flying v fitted with EMG 89 at the bridge (white)

There was also a collection of Swaovski jewellry stolen as well as:
Samsung 46" LCD TV
" BD-P1500 blu ray player
Toshiba RD-XS35SE DVD recorder
LG "tallboy surround sound system
Sony DVD camcorder (with video of my babys 1st steps)

There was other stuff taken too (feeling of security being the main thing) but thats the main stuff.
If you come across any of this stuff please contact the local Garda. Thanks for your help and please pass the word to as many people, other forums etc as possible. I WANT MY GUITARS BACK!!!

One of the mods might sticky this for a few weeks for ya.

Keep an eye out in the usual places, buy and sell, gumtree, adverts etc....
Did you record the serial numbers of the guitars?

Thats a really **** thing to hear fella, sorry for your trouble. You should also keep in mind local markets as thats where a large majority of stuff like this normally ends up.
It is highley unlikley the scumbags who stole your guitars would know which end to even hold let alone which side to strum and they will want shot of them ASAP for any amount of money , what im saying is if it was someone who was specificaly after your guitar collection (steel to order) they wouldnt have gone near your other stuff.
I managed a guitar shop for along time and i know from experience the incidents of people coming in with stolen gear (especially guitars) is very very rare .
If you can copy and paste pictures of the guitars onto a word document and email every music shop you can think of they will keep it behind the counter for refrence but i think your best bet would be to check local markets that pop up once a week.
I live in cavan and there is one very near me every sunday which is well known and i frequent , i will keep my eyes peeled for you as normally there is vans parked along side of the road outside with the side door open and an aladins cave inside (T@*!#&RS) if you catch my drift..... dont know weather i can use that word .
One last thought is VENUES , anyone who buys a gibson or any guitar of that nature is going to want to gig it , it is possible that if the thief does shift them they will end up on a stage somewhere , maby a barman or doorman would recognise one or maby two guitars ?? ,i play an old 1970 p bass thats battered looking and would be very distingtive if seen, also you might want to put this notice up on "musicians contact" where it will get alot more views , i only came across this by chance , i never venture down this far on boards.ie and in "musicians contact" nearly everyone on it is a guitarist..

Best of luck , hope you get all your gear back
