Aer Lingus with baby

We're planning on flying to the UK with Aer Lingus for a short break with our 4 month old (first time flying).

Buggy.... assume we can bring it but do we check it in or can we bring it to the gate with us? Will not be fun carrying a baby while we are trekking down to Pier D.

Car Seat... I know we can have the baby on our lap for E20 each way, or we can pay for a child seat and she can go in the car seat. If we had her on our lap could we still take the car seat as luggage?

What's the chances of either of the above getting damaged in transit? Are buggies etc thrown about the way the suitcases and holdalls are?

You can take your buggy down to the gate with you. It will be tagged for check in and depending, you might get a ''buggy to gate'' label too. You just leave at the end of the jet way/steps and the loaders will put in the hold for you.

Depending on the loads of the flight, you might be able to take the car seat on board with you. If its a london, It will be jammers, but if its manchester or something like that, you could be lucky enough that the loads are light, and you could bring it on board with you. Just check with the cabin crew, or check in staff, but it will prob also be tagged for check in like the buggy!

Hope this was of some help to you!
