What a man eh? He is an unreal composer. I honestly think that he makes lost an even more enjoyable show. The music in the show is always brilliant. I bet if you look at any of your favourite scenes of lost you'll see that there was epic music in that scene.. some that i can think of are:

    Scene - Song Title

Locke banging on the hatch - Locke'd out Again
The boat sailing away - Parting Words
Charlies death - Looking glass half full
Jack on the edge of the bridge - ??????????
(Locke, Ben & Hurley at the orchid,
Kate & Sayid captured by the others - Of mice and Ben
Jack & Sawyer heading to the orchid)
Jack drops the bomb - ??????????
    Juliets fall - ??????????

These scenes were made more memorable due to the music imo... if anyone knows the names of the other songs could you post it here please..

My favourite has to be Locke'd out Again.. its brilliant to say the least

What scenes do eh boardsies love because of the music??

I totally agree. I really don't care much about music in general but I love the music for lost. Giacchino just nails it constantly. The music is so perfect for the show.

In terms of memorable scenes. The constant

The o6 touching down. I suppose not the most important scene ever but I still really liked it

The death motif in general. I think the best version was with Sun at Jins grave although always remember it from Aaron being born and Boone dying.

The flashforward reveal. Music is kinda funky but I still really liked it

I could go on but leave at that.

    In terms of scene names
Charlies death - Looking glass half full(There is also a very similar version called Locke'ing Horns)
Jack on the edge of the bridge - Not sure what scene you mean?
Locke, Ben & Hurley at the orchid - The only one I can think of is song known as "Of mice and Ben" That's the final scene in part 1 of there is no place like home where you see Locke, Ben and Hurley but also get shown where everyone is?
Kate & Sayid captured by the others - Same scene as above?
Jack & Sawyer heading to the orchid
Jack drops the bomb - ??????????
    Juliets fall - ??????????

The rest of them are all from season 5. Soundtrack hasn't being released yet but seeing as all other seasons got one you can be sure 1 will get released at some stage. Incidentally season 4 soundtrack got released just over a month ago.

Beginning of season 3 finale.. when he's about to jump but a car crashes and he runs off to the rescue:D

Ya all the same scene intertwining...

    Jacobs theme, love it.

Also the one called "the good shepard". Its the one that usually plasy when the group is walking to somewhere and theres a wide shot. I remember it when they were going to the radio tower and when locke was bringing the others to jacob

Yes the music is exceptional on this show and really contributes to the atmosphere.

I agree with the songs listed here and another one I'd add is "Oceanic 815" from Season 1, which I believe plays when we see a montage from the flight with Jack acknowledging John, Claire getting helped with her bags etc.:

Another one I like is "I Crashed Your Plane, Brotha" which plays in Season 2 when Des tells Locke in the hatch he thinks he's responsible for the crash:

These are probably my two favourites:

"Of Mice and Ben" from the season 4 soundtrack:

    "Parting Words" from season 1:
This is probably the best music sequence on the show. I wish they'd give Giacchino more moments like this.

I absolutely love the music of Lost, have all 4 season soundtracks. It really makes the show that extra special. Look at other shows like Heroes or Prison Break and you would never hear music in those shows like you do on Lost. When you look at any brilliant tv show or film you will always get high quality music. Whether it's the music for an epic scene, a romantic moment, action scenes etc it's always amazing.

Some of my favourites are Jacob's theme from Season 5, Kate's theme, "Paddle Jumper" from Season 3, "Peace Through Superior Firepower" from Season 2, "Lost Away - Or Is It" and "Of Mice And Ben" from Season 5, and this scene from Season 3 (not on the soundtrack for some reason):

Hopefully there is a special extra edition released then of the song and more scenes of Kate and Juliet mud wrestling!

Oh Lockes music. This still remains 1 of my favourite scenes of all time. It was the moment when lost went from a show with a lot of potential to knowing it was going to be something special. It still gives me goosebumps watching it, music and all.

From season 1, my opinion it is the best piece to come out of Lost. Was reintroduced in later seasons briefly. Damn good.

Glad to see some appreciation for him, prob my second favourite tv composer atm, after Bear ''Battlestar'' McCreary.

Glad to see some appreciation for him, prob my second favourite tv composer atm, after Bear ''Battlestar'' McCreary.

Bear McCreary is a fantastic composer, some of the tracks on the BSG OSTs are among my favourite pieces of music ever.

I heard Giacchino's score on "Up" in the cinema this weekend, it was excellent.
